QC Photo Checklist for Shoes and Clothing: What You Can Actually Verify
Direct answer. Use warehouse QC photos to check visible identity, color, size labels, measurements and obvious damage before international shipment. They are a limited visual inspection of a received item, not an authenticity certificate or a guarantee of long-term quality.
Know which photos you are viewing
The image on a product listing usually comes from the seller or a prior source. A warehouse QC photo, if offered by the purchasing agent, is taken after an item reaches that agent's warehouse. The distinction matters: a polished listing image cannot show what arrived for your order. Superbuy's official shopping-agent guide describes a warehouse inspection and photos as a stage after purchase for its service. LitBuyEX itself does not receive items or take order-specific QC photos.
Before assessing photos, confirm that the set belongs to your order and selected SKU. Check the order or item ID, requested size and color. If the photo set lacks the packaging label or a needed angle, ask the agent whether additional photos are available. Do not infer a missing feature is correct simply because it is out of frame.
Shoes: an inspection sequence
- Identity and pair. Confirm that both shoes appear, with the expected model, colorway and left/right sizes. A mixed-size pair is a practical problem even when the outside looks fine.
- Shape and visible construction. Look at the toe shape, heel alignment, stitching lines, panel placement and outsole attachment. Compare the two shoes with each other before comparing them with marketing photos.
- Labels and measurements. Read the size label if legible. If fit is uncertain, request an insole length or another measurement your agent can actually provide. A printed EU/US size alone does not resolve every seller's fit.
- Condition. Look for stains, tears, glue marks or major asymmetry in bright, in-focus images. Ask for another angle when the issue is hidden by the camera or lighting.
- Packaging. Decide whether the box matters to you. Packaging can add volume and shipping cost, but removal may make a return or resale harder. Confirm the agent's options rather than assuming box removal is free.
Clothing and accessories: different failure modes
For clothing, inspect the front and back, print or embroidery placement, seams, fasteners, tags and obvious stains. Compare flat measurements with a garment you own. A seller's “medium” may not be your medium; the size chart should be read in centimeters or inches with the measurement method stated. For a bag, watch or accessory, verify the selected color and visible hardware or parts, but do not claim that a photo establishes material composition or function. A watch face photo, for example, does not prove movement accuracy.
The Reddit sizing discussion shows a buyer confused by a size-helper label and comments recommending an insole measurement. It is useful evidence of the question, not evidence that every seller uses the same sizing. Another community discussion reports inconsistent sizes and likewise points to direct measurement. Use those prompts to ask better questions; do not copy commenters' numerical conversions as universal rules.
What QC cannot certify
Basic warehouse photographs may reveal visible defects, but they cannot prove fabric durability, electronics performance, genuine brand origin or an item's compliance with local import rules. Superbuy's agreement explicitly describes limits to its inspections. Those terms apply to Superbuy, not automatically to a different service. If authenticity is essential, use a channel that provides a defined independent authentication process and recourse; a marketplace listing and agent QC alone are insufficient.
Keep decisions timely. Ask the agent how long you have to request more photos, exchange or return before it ships the parcel. That window varies by service and seller. Do not send an international parcel while a material mismatch is unresolved merely because an earlier image looked promising.
Common questions
Should I approve an item from one photo?
Not if that photo omits the feature you care about. Ask for a clear image of the size label, back, sole or measurement. The needed evidence depends on the item and the return window.
Does a QC image prove the item is authentic?
No. It can support a visual comparison but does not establish provenance. The same caution applies to seller photos and community photo albums.
Can LitBuyEX request QC for me?
No. LitBuyEX is a product directory. QC requests, charges and deadlines are controlled by the agent you use after following an outgoing link.
Scope and limits. This checklist helps evaluate visible evidence. It does not replace the agent's current service terms or an in-person examination.
